Direct Responsibilities:

As the Polaris Senior District Executive, Larry is responsible for all Scouting units and activities in the seven north shore suburbs of Milwaukee County plus the northern third of the city of Milwaukee. He assists with all aspects of the program, from fundraising, recruiting youth, recruiting and training adult leaders and advising events and activities. He is also extensively involved in the Scoutreach program, the in-school/after-school Scouting programs. He designs program, develops curriculum and helps train and schedule the youth workers who deliver Scouting to the disadvantaged youth of Three Harbors Council.  Larry collaborates with the entire field service staff to help deliver exceptional opportunities and events to youth across the council.

 

Personal Background:

A lifelong resident of the Milwaukee Metro area, Larry graduated from MUHS as well as holds a BA from Marquette University, College of Communications. He has 15-plus years of Scouting experience as a volunteer in both the Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting programs. He worked for a year as a youth worker delivering program to a number of inner city schools, before he was offered his commission. He spends his spare time honing his camping and canoeing skills and training with his grandson.
