Membership Standards Resolutions

 

In 2013 and 2015, the Boy Scouts of America reviewed, discussed and voted on its membership standards for youth and adults in regard to sexual orientation. The information form those events is listed below.

The following announcement was made on May 23, 2013. The resolution has passed with a 61.4% for and 38.6% against vote. As of January 1, 2014, Scouting will open its doors to all young people. Please read the official announcement below.

 

 

The following announcement was made by the National Executive Board on July 27, 2015. The leadership standards resolution has passed with 79% voting in favor. Please read the official announcement below.
