Rifle Shooting Merit Badge Clinic

Join us for the Rifle Shooting Merit Badge Clinic at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta on Friday, August 25, 2023.  The clinic will begin at 1:00 pm.  All Scouts BSA must have approval to take this clinic from their Scoutmaster.  For this class, participants will need to bring the following:

• Merit badge book (and have read it) Available at Scout Shop
• Water
• Signed merit badge card
• Answers written out to the following questions: Requirements 1 and 2 a-f for Option A

All answers to the written section of the merit badge must be completed before the clinic and emailed to wren1017@hotmail.com at least a week before the clinic. This includes all parts of requirement 1, all written sections of Option A. You do not need to complete option B or C.  This workbook can be used to submit your answers: Rifle Shooting (usscouts.org) 

Please keep in mind you need to shoot five shot groups (5 shots per group).  Each group needs to be covered by or touching a quarter.  So, it is a very tight group.  This is a lot of shooting.  Please don't be discouraged if you don't complete the shooting portion.  Our merit badge counselors are available to help you complete that on a different date, if necessary. Your good targets will be saved and counted for your next shooting date.
